Description

The Vineyard

  • Type of soil : Clay and limestone very pebbly
  • Climate : Mediterranean with Atlantic influence
  • Elevation : 80 – 150 m
  • Average Yield : 35hl/ha
  • Harvest : By hand
  • Pruning : Cordon de Royat and Simple Guyot
  • Density of planting : 4400 vine plants/ha
  • Age of vineyard : from 13 to 25 year olds

Vinification

Harvest destemmed on arrival at the cellar and put in vats for 24 hours in a regulated atmosphere saturated in carbon dioxide gas. Running-off of juices and the fresh grapes are pressed in the pneumatic press.
